Day 17: The Aquarian

Day 17 of the writing challenge I am participating asks for me to write about my Zodiac sign today and tell you whether of not I feel I am an Aquarius. This is so silly, because of COURSE I am an Aquarius. You can’t choose your sign or say it doesn’t suit it. You are what you are whether you see it or not!

Aquarians are amazing because we are…

  • Friendly
  • Humanitarians
  • Honest and loyal
  • Original
  • Eccentric
  • Wildly curious
  • Independent
  • Intellectual

As every sign has it’s flaws, so do we. Our flaws are…

  • Stubborn
  • Unpredictable
  • Detached
  • Impatient

Aquarians are said to “be keenly interested in making the world a better place.” because of our humanitarian ways. We are visionaries, and progressive souls.

“Aquarius is symbolized by the Water Bearer. In much the same way that the Water Bearer brings that precious liquid as a gift, Aquarians shower the world with their thoughts and new ideas. Luckily for Aquarians (and the rest of us), they are at a near-genius level, so their minds churn out some amazing things. Their thought process is also inventive and original.” (Source)

As Aquarians- we love to give, give, give- as long as it’s on our terms and within our comfort level. We are often very detached because we are the freedom-loving and individualistic sign. We feel the need to roam, travel, and alone time is incredibly necessary.

“While Aquarians are generally sympathetic and compassionate, they like it when things go their own quirky way. Some might call their behavior eccentric (and they would be right), but when you consider that the Aquarian’s heart is truly in the right place, a few oddities should be overlooked. In their own way, Aquarians treasure their many friends and acquaintances and want to give back as much as they can.”

An Aquarius woman is said to be (which I agree with ;)) …. “unusual, startling, even unclassifiable.” The typical Aquarian woman is said to be very unique. We wants to experience as much as possible and are not afraid of consequences. Every experience is valuable as long as it shows something about us, and/or the world.

“Intelligent and talented, she would rather be judged for her abilities than her glamour and sex appeal.”

Hellz to the yes! That right there!

The only thing that I feel indifferent on about my sign is that many Zodiac sources claim it is impossible to have an intimate, and personal friendship with Aquarians because we like to maintain emotional distance. While to an extent this is true, I never block myself from making friends. Friends are always welcome into my life- it is true that getting close to me is a little harder than usual because I am a little closed off and shy in person, but I am never not friendly. 🙂

That is all! Hope you enjoyed that post and learned a little more about me! Thanks for reading!
